The first main part of the equation is to tone your abdominal muscles. This can be accomplished through muscle supplements and resistance training exercises that target this area. Plan to train a few times each week with at least one day of rest in between. Here are a few of the best ab exercises we can recommend to you and how to do them:
-The Plank: Get on the floor and extend your legs in to the pushup position with your upper arms supporting the rest of your body. If you are a beginner, hold yourself in this position for about 20 seconds. As you get more advanced, increase the duration of the hold. Repetitions of this exercise also depend on your level of experience, but beginners should start out with at least a few reps. Make sure you rest a little between each hold. Note: variations of this exercise, such as the side plank, are also great exercise options.
-Bicycle Crunches: Get in to the typical crunch position with each hand behind your head and your knees up. Move both your right elbow and left knee so that they touch each other. Next, make your left elbow and right knee touch. Start out with at least a few sets of about 10 repetitions. Rest a bit between sets.
-Reverse Crunches: Lie down on the ground and with your abdominal muscles, bring your knees up to your chest. Beginners should start out with approximately 10 reps and 2-3 sets. Again, be sure to rest after each of the sets.
A second main factor in the formula is to decrease the amount of fat in your stomach area, since it can basically cover or hide your abdominal muscles. Here are three of our fat burning tips for you:
-Jog, swim, bike, jump rope, or any other cardiovascular type of exercise. Make time to do so at least a few times every week. Duration periods depend on your level of endurance.
-Eat and drink healthy foods and beverages most of the time. Be especially careful to stay away from anything with a lot of sugar and/or unhealthy fat. Also, try not to pig out on anything!
-Take an effective fat loss supplement to further enhance the first two tips just mentioned.
The third and last primary part of this equation is a little thing called dedication. You need to be consistently committed to the first two factors stated in order for you to achieve and maintain that washboard stomach. The truth is that many people don’t get the results that they want simply because they don’t put in the regular effort and/or give up too soon.
